Donovan Marsh is an acclaimed South African director, screenwriter, and editor known for his dynamic storytelling and impactful films. He gained recognition with the comedy-drama Spud (2010) and its sequel, and further showcased his versatility with the crime thriller Avenged (2013). Marsh made his Hollywood debut directing Hunter Killer (2018), an action-packed submarine thriller starring Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman. His film I Am All Girls (2021), addressing human trafficking in South Africa, became Netflix's most successful local film, reaching 30 million households worldwide.
