Ricardo Arendse is a South African screenwriter, poet, and creative mentor known for his contributions to film, television, and literature. Arendse has contributed short stories to Afrikaans magazines such as Huisgenoot and Kuier. His poetry, often written in Kaaps dialect, reflects on themes of identity, community, and personal experiences. In 2024, Arendse launched the Oudtshoorn Youth Theatre Mentorship Program through the non-profit organization Aanpassingsklas 47 (AK47). The initiative aims to provide young people with skills in theatre, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
