Anthony J. Russo is an American director, producer, and screenwriter who, alongside his brother Joe Russo, forms one of the most commercially successful filmmaking duos in history. After starting in independent film and earning critical acclaim for their work on television comedies like Arrested Development and Community, the Russos became the architects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's biggest hits, including the highest-grossing superhero film of all time, Avengers: Endgame (2019). In 2026, Anthony Russo is once again at the center of the pop culture conversation. Following a brief pivot to streaming blockbusters through their studio AGBO, the brothers made a shock return to Marvel Studios.
