Biography
Asher Rosen is a filmmaker based in London and Kisoro known for directing and writing independent films. He made his directorial debut with the short MEAT in 2021, which won awards and was featured in the César Académie’s Golden Nights programme. His follow‑up short, The Rabbi’s Son (2022), won the Pears Short Film Fund and screened at several BAFTA and Oscar‑qualifying festivals, helping establish his voice in the international festival circuit. Rosen’s feature debut, Small Gods (2025), is a drama inspired by real lives and indigenous stories, blending documentary and fiction elements; he co‑wrote the script and led the project into post‑production following its production start in 2023. His films are noted for their focus on human experience and collaboration with local communities. Rosen has worked with studios on development as a screenwriter and continues emerging as a creative filmmaker on the global independent scene.
