Danica De La Rey Jones (also known as Danica Jones) is a South African actress, model, and action talent born in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. She holds honours in Drama Performance from high school and won the Mercury Durban Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2015 for her role as Naomi in Playhouse Danica has appeared in acclaimed works like Asinamali and the indie feature Aya. More recently, she starred in the action-thriller Hunting Jessica Brok, taking on a physically demanding role that pushed her into the action-hero terrain.
