Jared Francis Harris is a British actor known for his commanding screen presence and his ability to portray complex, often tragic, intellectual figures. The son of legendary actor Richard Harris, he forged his own path in Hollywood, earning critical acclaim as Lane Pryce in Mad Men, King George VI in The Crown, and Valery Legasov in the award-winning miniseries Chernobyl. In late 2025 and early 2026, Harris remained a fixture in high-prestige projects. He starred in Kathryn Bigelow’s political thriller "A House of Dynamite" (released October 2025 on Netflix), featuring alongside Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson. Earlier in 2025, he returned to his central role as the mathematician Hari Seldon in Season 3 of the Apple TV+ sci-fi epic "Foundation", which critics praised for expanding the "psychohistory" narrative into new galactic conflicts.
