J.K. Amalou, born Julien Karim Amalou, is a French screenwriter, producer, and film director known for his work in independent British and international cinema. A graduate of the London Film School, he built a career creating action and thriller films with strong visual storytelling and gritty narratives. He is best known for directing and producing films such as Hard Men (1996), Deviation (2012), and Assassin (2015).
