Julia Anastasopoulos is a multi-award-winning South African actress, illustrator, and designer who revolutionized the local digital content space. Born in Johannesburg and trained in Theatre and Performance at the University of Cape Town, she initially worked as an illustrator and designer, creating murals for Cape Town's MyCiTi bus stations. She became an internet sensation in 2014 with the launch of SuzelleDIY, a comedic web series featuring a quirky, helpful DIY enthusiast. The character became a cultural phenomenon, leading to books, merchandise, and brand partnerships. She followed this success by creating Tali Babes, a self-obsessed "Sandton Princess," for Tali's Wedding Diary—which became the very first Showmax Original series. In 2025, she joined the cast of the Netflix crime drama Bad Influencer, showcasing her versatility beyond the mockumentary format.
