Magaji Ibrahim Mijinyawa is among the pioneering figures of Kannywood, Northern Nigeria's flourishing film industry. Born in Benue State but of Nasarawa State origin, he initially pursued electrical engineering before joining NTA Jos as a senior engineer in 1980. During his 15-year tenure there, he appeared in TV dramas like Kalkuzu and eventually transitioned to private filmmaking with early projects such as Yancin Dan Adam under Pilaps production, which later evolved into Lenccope. He gained widespread acclaim in acting portraying Alhaji Badamasi in the beloved comedy series Gidan Badamasi. Mijinyawa remains a respected actor, producer, and TV veteran.
