Biography

Tobi Makinde is a Nigerian actor, director, filmmaker, and media personality celebrated for his dynamic presence both in front of and behind the camera. Born on May 16, 1991, and raised in Lagos, Tobi began his artistic journey as a child actor, featuring in early productions such as Silenced, Full Circle, and Kamson N Neighbours. His passion for performance and storytelling led him to study Theatre Arts at the University of Lagos, where he honed his craft and laid the foundation for a distinguished career in Nollywood. His breakthrough role came with his portrayal of “Timini” in Funke Akindele’s award-winning sitcom Jenifa’s Diary, where his performance endeared him to audiences nationwide.
