Biography

Zenobia Kloppers is a Namibian–South African actress, singer, voice artist, writer, and director known for her extensive work across theatre, film, television, and radio. Born in Windhoek, Namibia, she is classically trained in opera and studied at both the University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University, building a strong foundation in music and performance. She gained widespread recognition for her lead role as Fiela Komoetie in Fiela se Kind (2019), a performance that earned her multiple award nominations, including the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) and Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA). Her work in the film marked a major milestone in her screen career and brought her international attention. Kloppers has also appeared in major television productions such as Arendsvlei, Suidooster, Blood & Water, and The Wheel of Time (Season 3), where she played Amico Nagoyin. Beyond acting, she is also a filmmaker, having directed award-winning short films like Riel (2023) and Helmhart (2023). She is regarded as one of Southern Africa’s most versatile performers.
