Biography

Jonny Greenwood is a world-renowned multi-instrumentalist and composer, best known as the lead guitarist and keyboardist for the iconic rock band Radiohead. He began his musical journey in Oxford, eventually dropping out of a music and psychology degree at Oxford Polytechnic in 1991 when his band signed their first recording contract. Over the last two decades, he has built a prestigious parallel career as a film composer, becoming the primary musical voice for director Paul Thomas Anderson. Their collaboration, which began with There Will Be Blood (2007), is widely considered one of the most significant director-composer partnerships in modern cinema. Beyond film, Greenwood is a celebrated classical composer, having served as composer-in-residence for the BBC Concert Orchestra.
